Martha Koome, Chief Justice of Kenya, whose presence underscored the importance of our collective commitment to championing gender equality and justice in our society. Kenya. I am proud to announce that I received the "Gender Justice Award 2024" in the category of "Most Enabling Legal Framework." This award underscores the critical importance of establishing a robust legal framework to advance gender justice, and I am committed to continuing this vital work. This remarkable event, organized by the National Council on the Administration of Justice (NCAJ) in partnership with Equality Now, celebrates the incredible efforts of county governments and justice actors in ensuring access to justice for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). As we face the challenges of SGBV in our society, I call on all stakeholders to join hands in this fight.
