Lunga Lunga is a municipality in Kwale County, Kenya that holds a strategic position in the extreme southeastern part of the country, near the border with Tanzania. Our vibrant Municipality is known for its unique cultural blend, rich history, and natural beauty.
Lunga Lunga is situated approximately six kilometers away from the border between Kenya and Tanzania. This close proximity to Tanzania fosters cross-border trade and cultural exchange, making the Municipality an important hub for regional interactions. The population of lunga lunga Municipality which covers the whole of Vanga ward except part of godo and part of Mwereni ward is approximated at 54,000 and land size of 284.1Km2 as per the Taskforce report for preparation of Lunga Lunga Municipality plan.
